This Summer High Sierra Pools hosted a baseball outing at Nationals Stadium for its J-1 lifeguards and staff.
The group came together to watch the Washington Nationals game, giving participants the chance to experience an American sporting event, spend time with fellow exchange participants, and enjoy a fun cultural activity outside of work.
For some participants, the experience also included joining a group of American teenagers in the crowd who were cheering for the team without their shirts on. It was a fun and unexpected moment that became part of the game-day experience.
Activities like this give J-1 participants the opportunity to experience more of everyday life and culture in the United States while creating memories with the people they are sharing their summer with.
A baseball game, a cheering crowd, and a summer memory to take home - another great moment from the Work Travel experience. ⚾💙
